Aric Brandon Brooks, 48, of Eagle, Idaho, passed away, October 31, 2024. Aric was born November 19, 1975, at St. Luke’s in Boise, Idaho, to his parents Larry and Donna Brooks.

Aric lived a short time in Garden Valley before his family moved to Boise. Aric attended Capital High School, graduating in 1994. After graduation he continued his education, attending Boise State University earning an associate’s degree in criminal justice and a Bachelor of Science degree.

Aric was married to Andrea Brooks for 19 years, where they welcomed two beautiful boys, Aidan and Andrew Brooks.  Although Aric and Andrea later divorced, the two made sure to prioritize their children.

He started his construction career in the family business, Brooks Excavation, where he worked as a heavy-equipment operator as well as a foreman. After honing his skills and knowledge throughout the years, Aric continued his career working as a project manager for a handful of local construction companies, including Western Construction, Lurre Construction and P.S.I. Over his time as a project manager, Aric had his hand in completing several notable projects such as the Cancer Survivor’s memorial in Boise Square Park, Polecat/Collister Trailhead and Micron’s office building #37.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, building and creating things, being outdoors in the mountains, and especially spending time with his family.

Although Aric did not regularly attend church, he made sure to pray, read the bible, and instill the virtues and teachings of God in his family.

Aric is survived by his sons, Aidan and Andrew Brooks; parents, Larry and Donna Brooks; sister, Ali (Dean) Fritel; brothers, Clayton (Netta) Brooks and Colt (Jackie) Brooks; nieces, Tessa and Vivian; nephews, Coston Fritel, Chaz Fritel, Holden Brooks, Wesley Brooks, Sawyer Brooks and Sanders Brooks; and former spouse, Andrea Brooks.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Rosie Rhodes.

A graveside service will be held, 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 N. Hill Road, Boise, Idaho.
