Annabelle “Annie” Krawl 87, of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully following a long struggle with dementia on December 11, 2025. Annie was born on February 23, 1938, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Arletta Krawl and William Ralph Krawl.
Annie spent most of her life in the Boise area and surrounding communities. She was a high school graduate and later attended some trade school, where she studied massage therapy. Throughout her working years, Annie was employed at MK and worked in their cafeteria as well as at Pastry Perfection. She was always known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
Annie married James Breier on November 17, 1956, in Nevada. That marriage lasted 20 years followed by divorce. She later married Larry Hunt, and that marriage also ended in divorce.
Annie was very intelligent and talented and had deep love and compassion for all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed sewing and hand-made all the school clothes needed for her 4 children when they were young. She always planted a vegetable garden to supply food for her family. Music was a constant presence and coping skill in her life as she loved listening to and playing country and gospel music on her guitars. She could play the bass and rhythm guitars by ear and wrote the music notes in a notebook for others. She loved planting flowers and watching them grow. She loved camping with her children and grandchildren. Her faith was very important to her; she spent time reading the Bible and spiritual books and held a strong devotion and love for Jesus. Annie was also a great baker and loved making chocolate chip banana bread, chocolate salad dressing cake, banana cream and lemon meringue pies.
Music also connected Annie to her community. She played music and volunteered, including time spent playing at senior centers in the Boise Nampa areas. During her younger days, she played the bass guitar and sang in a band with James Breier and Charles Krawl. She later played music in another band with Larry Hunt.
Annie is survived by her brother, Ronnie Krawl, of Nevada; her sister, Susan Johnson, of Boise, Idaho; and her sister, Sally Krawl of Meridian, Idaho. She is also survived by her 4 children, Shannon, Toney, Sharlene, and Todd: plus, several cousins and extended family members. Annie was a loving grandmother to several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many who lovingly adopted her as “Grandma” throughout Idaho.
Annie was preceded in death by her former husbands, James Breier and Larry Hunt; her parents, Arletta and William Ralph Krawl; her brothers, Chuck (Charles) Krawl, Kenny Krawl, her sister, Lenore Wilson; and her grandson, Jesse Lee Adams.
Annie was the most humble, sweet kind, caring, loving person you could ever meet and dearly loved by all.
