Anna Ruth (Hylton) Lawson born August 4, 1935 was called home to heaven to be with her husband on August 3, 2023 at the age of 87. Ruth was born in South Williamson, Kentucky, which is where she met her husband Bill with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. They moved to California in 1961, where she worked for Tomy Toys and raised their 2 children. She will be dearly missed by her son, Kenny (Jan) Lawson and daughter, Barbara (Lee) Jabbora, grandchildren Janice Lawson, Kendra Lawson (Cesar), Brittney Lawson (Johnny), Lindsey Jabbora, Kevin Jabbora (Liz), great grandchildren Jrue Young (Nikki), Leyla Coyo, Kylie Coyo, Kevin ‘KJ’ Jabbora, Olivia Jabbora and great-great grandchild Jai Young and brothers Estil (Debbie) Hylton and Johnny (Carolyn) Hylton. She was preceded in death and now reunited with her loving husband Bill, her parents Hayes and Opal, and her siblings Dorothy, Shirley and Orville ‘Brother’.
Ruth always found time to root for her favorite sports teams, work her puzzles and enjoy time with her family. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she went all out to decorate her house, even months early, and even had neighbors bring friends to come and admire her work. Before she battled dementia, she enjoyed speaking with her brothers daily and meeting her friends for weekly coffee, breakfasts, and card games. Even as her illness progressed, she would still enjoy playing with the newest grandchildren daily, would always find new friends on her daily walks or trips to the store and laugh every day.
A viewing will be held, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Monday, August 14, 2023 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho.
