Ann Maxine Daniels Mulder, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully September 20, 2026, at the age of 91, surrounded by the love of her family.
Ann was born September 7, 1935, in Weiser, Idaho, to Maxine Chandler Daniels and Daniel LaGlen Daniels. The oldest of 15 children, Ann learned from an early age the importance of family, hard work, service, and caring for those around her, qualities that would define her throughout her life.
When Ann was 10 years old, her family moved to their farm in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. In 1953, at the age of 18, Ann embarked on a new adventure and moved to Portland, Oregon. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jacob John Mulder.
Ann and Jake were married September 16, 1957, in the Manti Utah Temple. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, love, and service. Following Jake’s passing in 2004, she continued to honor the life and faith they had built together.
Ann’s greatest joy was always her family. She was the loving mother of four children: Greg, Stephen, Julie, and Robert. Her family continued to grow to include 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought tremendous happiness and pride to her life. Nothing meant more to Ann than being surrounded by the people she loved.
Ann was a true people person. Naturally social and outgoing, she loved being with family, friends and members of her community. She had a way of making connections wherever she went and genuinely enjoyed visiting, laughing, sharing stories, and simply being with people. While Ann had a loving and generous heart, she also was spirited and never afraid to let you know what she thought. That combination of warmth and spunk was part of what made Ann so memorable and so deeply loved.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ann lived her faith through a lifetime of service to others, including serving a mission at the Los Angeles California Temple Family History Center. Her faith was a source of strength throughout her life, and she found great purpose in helping and serving others.
Ann had a remarkable ability to make people feel cared for and welcome. She was greatly loved by her neighbors, friends, church community, and all those fortunate enough to know her. She loved to introduce herself to others and quickly made new friends.
One of Ann’s favorite ways to show love was through baking. Her cookies and cinnamon rolls were favorites and became one of the many ways people experienced Ann’s warmth and generosity.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob John Mulder, her parents, Maxine Chandler Daniels and Daniel LaGlen Daniels; and five of her siblings, David, Roy, Ralph, Darlene, and Paul.
She is survived by her four children, Greg, Stephen, Julie, and Robert; her 15 grandchildren; her 20 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Dean, Brent, Sharon, Marion, Glenadine, Vernadine, Judy, Vivian and Gloria.
Ann leaves behind a beautiful legacy. One built not simply through the years she lived, but through the countless lives she touched. Her legacy can be found in the family she treasured, the faith she faithfully lived, the people she served, the neighbors she befriended, and the simple acts of love and kindness she shared so freely.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
