Amanda Lynne Pannell, 36, of Boise, ID, passed peacefully at her home, in her husband’s loving arms on January 12, 2024.

Amanda was born to Sandy Lynne (McDorman) Bolan and Robert (Bud) George Bolan on February 24, 1987 in Salmon, Idaho.  That was the happiest day of their lives.  Sandy loves to boast about what an amazing and happy baby she was, and that she never cried and was perfect in every way.  This happiness continued throughout her childhood and life.  Bud enjoys sharing stories of Amanda being at the top of her class as early as pre-school and excelling at everything that was put in front of her.

Amanda grew up attending schools in Hailey, ID and then moved to Southern California where she attended and graduated high school.  She went on to achieve two Bachelor Degrees in English Literature and English Language at Boise State University.  In her 30’s, Amanda decided to further her education and received her Master of Education at Concordia University.

On May 10, 2016, Amanda met the love of her life, Blake Cecil Pannell, while playing Cards Against Humanity at a mutual friend’s house.  As Blake would tell it, he knew from the moment they met, she would be his wife one day.  6 months later, on October 15, 2016, he got down on one knee and asked his soulmate to marry him.  On May 13, 2017, exactly one year and three days after meeting, his initial feelings came to fruition and Amanda became his wife.  Their love for each other was palpable and infectious.  It was a love that so many people only dream of. She will forever be his Soulmate and he will cherish every single moment that they have spent together.

In late 2017, Amanda started working at Idaho Realtors. Blake remembered how excited she was to start that new adventure and of course, she hit the ground running and was the shining star of the office. She started out as a receptionist but due to all of her amazing qualities, it was no surprise that she was perfect for the position of Education and Events Director. She had it all, an amazing work ethic, the ability to make friends with literally anyone, a love for meeting new people, sarcasm that was just the right amount and above all, her ability to love hard. She touched the lives of so many within the Idaho Realtor community.

Amanda’s positive attitude, sass, wit and pure heart made it impossible for anyone to not fall in love with her. Her love and compassion for everyone around her was contagious and those who met her were instantly drawn to her loving and caring nature. These amazing qualities contributed to making  friends everywhere she went and touched the lives of so many. Because of her ability to bring people together, a group of now life-long friends will cherish her forever. If not for Amanda, many of them would not have met and became the family that they are now.

Though there will be hard times with the thoughts and memories of Amanda, it’s important to remember the good times and cherish the blessings it was to know her. She may be gone but she will never be forgotten and will always be with every single person that she graced with her presence. She is survived by her loving soulmate, Blake; her loving mother, Sandy; her loving father, Bud; and her loving grandparents Wesley and Lucile McDorman; her amazing In-Laws, Aunts, uncles, and cousins; and of course, her beautiful fur-baby, Lilah and devoted friends.

A funeral service will be held, 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Boise Calvary Chapel, 123 S. Auto, Boise, with a public viewing beginning at 2:00 pm.
