Alice Marie Bradshaw was born March 3, 1924 in Maza, North Dakota to William George Bradshaw and Christine Dorothy Holien. Alice died on April 28, 2023 in Meridian Idaho at the age of 99. She was the oldest of nine children. The family lived in North Dakota until she was 7 and then moved to Murtaugh, Idaho. The Great Depression was on and the family moved in hopes of finding work there.
Alice attended one room schools until transportation became available in their farming community and she was able to attend Burley High School. Following her high school graduation in 1941, she and a friend moved to Boise to attend Boise Business College. She ran out of money after one semester so she went to work for General Mills. She later worked for the Department of Employment.
Alice met Wyland Lind at a dance at the YMCA, and they began dating. They married on June 30, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married 54 years before Wyland passed away in 2000. Alice and Wyland lived in Caldwell, Lewiston, and finally returned to Boise. They were blessed with 7 children, 2 step children, 41 grandchildren, and 69 great grandchildren. They always loved and enjoyed their family!
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, Alice served in Primary, Sunday School, Young Women, and Relief Society. She enjoyed attending the temple and serving as a visiting teacher.
Mother is survived by her children Wendy (Paul) Dixon, Jerome, Lynnette (Eric) Evans, Pocatello, Dennis (Shauna) Lind, Meridian, Diane (Fred) Friel, Boise, Jill (Kent) Barry, Logan, UT, Jared Lind, Hamilton, NJ, and daughter-in-law Kelly Lind, Berthoud, CO. She is also survived by 2 step sons, Bruce (Susan) Lind and Mark (Ileen) Lind both of Soda Springs, ID. She had 41 grandchildren and 69 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, three sisters, and her son Brent.
Funeral services for Alice will be held Saturday, May 6, at the LDS Church at 6711 Northview in Boise at 11:00 AM with a viewing beginning at 9:30 AM before the service which is under the direction of Bowman Funeral Home of Garden City.
