We are left in shock and heartbroken by the passing of Alberto Canela Jr. of Nampa, Idaho. He died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 34 on November 09, 2023. After spending 2 weeks in the ICU fighting for his life due to complications from an illness. He leaves behind Wife Krystal Ann Canela, and 2 sons Abel Matthew, and Leo William.

Alberto Canela Jr was born to Alberto Canela Sr and Maria Guadalupe Canela Segura on August 23, 1989, in Nampa, Idaho. He spent his childhood in Emmett and grew up watching and following his Papa’s every move. Alberto was the oldest brother of a large family and learned to be a leader from a young age, a character trait he mastered and never let go of.

One of Alberto’s greatest achievements was not only owning and operating his own small business, but also using his business as a vehicle to pour himself into the community. Alberto was very loved and respected by the people he worked with and around. As a local business owner, Alberto loved and appreciated the community that supported him, and he believed in giving back in big and small ways. With his simple means, he donated generously to a variety of needs including local sports teams and service projects, as well as time and money to building projects for people in need. The impact of his generosity was huge and will continue to be felt with his legacy.

Alberto left a lasting impact on everyone; however, his pride and joy was the family he built. Alberto met Krystal in 2017 and their connection was instantaneous. From the outside, you could see how much he adored both Krystal and Abel, and the pride he felt when they became a family and added Leo. Much like in the community, Alberto took care of the people he loved most, and there’s nothing Alberto loved and cherished more than being a husband and a father. Alberto was truly destined for these roles and made the most of it. Krystal and the boys are left with memories of Alberto’s love to last their lifetimes, whether it be vacationing in Mexico, swimming in Idaho hot springs, bedtime stories, or simple dinner table banter.

Alberto is survived by his wife, Krystal; sons Abel Mathew and Leo William; Mother Lupe; brothers Alejandro, Juan, and Sergio; and sisters Gaby and Erika. He is preceded in death by Father Alberto Canela Sr.

He will be in our hearts forever. We love you! A public viewing will be held, 12:00 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 E. 2nd St., Emmett, Idaho. A pubic funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with a committal at Park View Cemetery, 3600 HWY 30 W., New Plymouth, Idaho.
