Sally Clay was born Sally Shier in Pasadena, California in 1940, the first of six siblings. Sally had a love of the outdoors, especially the beach. She was very creative and talented, and multi-talented at that. Sally, like her mother, had a knack for gardening, cooking, ceramics, sewing, working with stained-glass, and creating handmade jewelry. She was also quite accomplished at refinishing antique furniture.
While in high school in Glendora, California she met the love of her life, Robert. The two would marry, relocate to the beach in Orange County, California, and start a family of their own. Sally was very active in the community and the church, and loved being a mom.
Sally truly was one of the kindest, gentlest souls there has been. She always saw the best in people, and could brighten your day with her lovely, endearing smile and her laughter.
Sally is survived by her three children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private gathering will take place at Bowman Funeral Home in Boise, Idaho on December 30th, 2018 prior to being laid to rest astride her love, Robert, at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. A celebration of life for both Robert and Sally will take place in California in the weeks to follow.
