Ronald Phillip Haustveit 59 of Meridian passed away peacefully March 6, 2019 surrounded by his family. He had been fighting cancer for several years and in our eyes he beat it. Ron was the 4th child of Gordon and Patricia Haustveit. He was born in Boise Idaho April 15, 1959. He attended Sacred Heart, Whitney Elementary, South Jr High and graduated from Borah High School in 1977.
Ron started working at an early age mowing lawns with his brother John. This work ethic was instilled in him by his father, a trait he was so proud of.
He had several jobs after graduation, eventually he owned and operated a commercial and residential painting business for many years.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing with friends and family. His greatest harvest was a sixpoint bull elk, which he made a perfect shot.
Ron’s most precious love was his Daughter Reanna Jarman. She is his pride and joy. He loved being with her taking her on vacations to the family cabin and especially to the Oregon coast. She gave him three grandchildren Bentley, Ryder and Maliya who he was so proud of, he loved being a grandpa and always had dum dum suckers in his pocket for them.
Ron was not going to leave his precious daughter until he was sure she was taken care of. On January 26, 2019 Ron walked Reanna down the aisle and placed her in the hands of Zach Jarman a man who he knew would be there for her when he could not. The joy in his eyes will be forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephanie Hodson and Dr. Shauna Williams, without their care and love for Ron he would have left us much sooner. Thank you! The staff at Abode Hospice were also so kind and compassionate.
Ron will be remembered as a great man, he had the kindest soul, appreciated everything and never complained. His daughter Reanna (Zach), brothers Rick (Chris), John (Kristi), Mark ( Wendy), sisters Cyndi Christian (Mitch), Patty Jennings (Randy) Debbie Wiker (Curtis), Nancy Tuck (Tracy) would like to invite you to come celebrate Ron’s life March 17th at the Idaho Outdoor Association Hall 3401 Brazil St Boise Id 83705 from 2:00 till 6:00.
