Peggy Ann Scally (Leonard) was born on April 8, 1932 in Brooklyn NY. Peggy has 3 siblings, William (deceased) Alice and Beverly (deceased). Peggy grew up in the small town of Bloomfield NJ. When Peggy graduated High School her grandparents planned to enroll Peggy in a nursing school in Boston, Massachusetts, however those plans changed when she met and married William Dann. She then devoted her life to her growing family.

Peggy had 5 children. One child Melissa Ann, passed away of leukemia at three years of age. It was Peggy’s great joy to raise Kathleen Susan, Wimauma, FLA., William Michael, Edison, NJ., Sharon Elizabeth (deceased) and Leslie Ellen (Elle), Boise, ID.  Peggy was known for her generosity and was generous to a fault with her family. She was always thrilled to look after her 4 grandchildren (she also has 4 great grandchildren) and spent time as a nanny after her own children were grown.

Peggy enjoyed travel, reading, writing, great literature, painting, the piano, the ocean and gardening. Peggy was a Born Again Christian and spent a great deal of her time in Bible study.

Peggy remarried Jack Scally and they resided in Spring Lake, NJ. blocks from the New Jersey shore she greatly loved. She and Jack travelled the world together fulfilling a lifelong dream. Peggy also enjoyed visits to her daughter Leslie (Elle) who lived in San Francisco, California.

Peggy and Sharon left Spring Lake, NJ and moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida, Jack later joined them there. They resided there enjoying the warm weather, visits to the nearby beach and keeping their garden.

Peggy dedicated her life to her daughter Sharon who was born with developmental disabilities. Peggy selflessly and without recognition cared for her daughter her entire 56 years of life until Sharon passed away on August 11, 2017 of cancer.  Peggy's daughter Leslie moved her to Boise, Idaho where Peggy lived until her death on September 16, 2018.
