Lorraine Pauline Vincent passed away December 23, 2018 at Grace Assisted Living. She was born to Ray and Verna Prow on March 3, 1917 in Meridian. She grew up with two brothers, Alva & Myron. Most of her young life was spent in Idaho City. This is where she met her husband, Orville Vincent and they were married on February 29, 1939. They moved to Boise two years later and the next move was to Meridian where they raised their six children. Lorraine and Orville attended lots of dances around the valley as Orville was in a western band and played the violin. Lorraine enjoyed her quilting and attending to her beautiful flowers.
They retired and moved to the Garden Valley area and spent many happy years together. In 1996 she lost her husband and made the move back to Boise. In 2006 she moved in with her son, Bill and his wife Linda until she moved to Salmon Creek Retirement Center. In October, 2018 she then moved to Grace Assisted Living. She is survived by her children, Shirley Dundon, Joyce Leighton, Don (Becky) Vincent, Tom (Mary) Vincent, Bob (Julie) Vincent and Bill (Linda) Vincent. She has 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her husband and two son-in laws (Jim Dundon & Wylie Leighton). Many thanks go out to Salmon Creek Retirement Center, Grace Assisting Living and the staff at Hospice for taking such good care of our mother. Our thanks to Bowman Funeral Parlor for assisting in this difficult time.
