Lori Roser (54) passed away at her home June 25, 2018. She wrote a testimonial of her life during her last weeks.
I was born in the great state of Texas on July 31, 1964, in Fort Worth, to Nick (Job) and Carolyn Hammond and enjoyed the love of two sets of grandparents who added travel adventures and spiritual nurturing to my brother Ted and me. I graduated from Texas Women’s University in Physical Therapy and I worked in that field until I was blessed to pursue full time mothering and homemaking. I married the love of my life, Steve, May 9, 1992, and had three amazing children, Madelon, Tommy, and Jack, who gave me more blessings than I could ever fathom in one lifetime. Adding richness, encouragement, support, and laughter to my life I count many friendships that I am grateful for. I am most indebted to Jesus for all the gifts, but the gift above all is Himself and his amazing grace to me and for all. As I close my eyes on this earth, I open them in heaven and see Your beautiful face Jesus!
Lori asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to two missions she loved—Kenya’s Maguma Mercy Medical Clinic (Expansion International; 13176 W. Persimmon Lane; Suite 110; Boise, ID 83713) where Lori and her family did mission work. In God’s providence, this clinic - part of which bears her name - is breaking ground on the day of her memorial; and The Ambrose School’s Great Hall - a place of gathering (6100 N. Locust Grove Avenue; Meridian, ID 83646), where Lori established many enduring friendships.
Please join Lori’s family to celebrate her life at a memorial service beginning 10:00 a.m. on Saturday June 30, 2018, at Calvary Chapel (123 Auto Drive in Boise) followed by a reception at The Ambrose School after 12:30.
