Judy Ellen Trude, 80, of Boise, ID passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, June 25, 2018, with members of her family by her side. Judy was born May 17, 1938 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Reuben and Margaret Alice Cordova, née Bamber, among a family that grew to four brothers and four sisters. The summer of 1963, Judy married Robert A. Trude in Los Angeles County, CA. Judy and Bob moved to Boise in 1979 and raised a family together for 34 years.
Judy retired from St. Luke’s Hospital of Boise in 2009 after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Danny and Robert, brothers Duane, Alan and Donald Cordova, brother-in-law Edward Mack, sister-in-law Lorraine Cordova, as well as her ex-husband Robert Trude. Judy was also preceded in death by her sister Eileen Ortiz, and her grandson Ryan Banks, who both passed as they had begun adulthood.
Judy is survived by her son Tom and Bobett Trude, her daughter Annette and Tony Peloquin, and daughter Debbie Trude, brother William Cordova, sisters Madeline Mack, Mercie and Jeff Lebow, and Evi and Dave Keller, her grandchildren Chris, Maggie, Robbie, Michaela, Crystal and Harmony, and two great-grandchildren Raven and Carter.
Judy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family-in-law, and friends who will mourn her passing.
Judy lived her life in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City. A funeral service will begin 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Bowman. Shortly after the service, internment is planned at Meridian Cemetery, Meridian, ID with a prayer at graveside.
