Joyce and her twin sister Janice Isenhart were born to James and Juanita Irwin in Topeka, Kansas on August 28, 1951. Due to the Kansas Flood that year,  they were more than a month premature. Their Grandmother Fanny Fern Irwin shared to anyone that would listen, that they were so small that even together-- they  both  fit in a shoebox.  Joyce, her sister, and parents moved numerous times over her young years from Stockton,CA;  to Albuquerque, NM;  to Grand Junction CO; where she  graduated High School in 1970.

Joyce married Daniel Wilson of Harrison, AR  in  1971, and had two children, Stephen Wilson in 1974, and Rhonda Wilson in 1975.  Although the marriage, ended she persisted; moving  onward as a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, and an Aunt. She moved home to Boise with her parents for  support in raising her children alone while she also supported her mother in her business.   Her father was  a Corrections Officer for IDOC in Boise, her mother a Regional Manager for World Book Encyclopedias.  In addition, she worked as a Page for the Boise Public library for a number of years, and deeply loved serving her patrons there.  In 1988, she lost her mother suddenly in a car accident. She moved to Marsing to support her father. She was diagnosed with Kidney cancer when her children were teenagers in 1991, and it broke loose into her bloodstream.  She was advised at that time that she might not have long to live. She began intensive treatment. Shortly after this, she lost her father to heart complications.  She bravely  continued chemotherapy and radiation treatment, spent time with friends in prayer at Homedale Assembly of God ,and was able to go into full  remission by mid 1993 (despite being told previously that she might only have months to live).

Joyce loved art and music and brought color to our world. Through all of her adversities she remained kind, loving, forgiving, and persistant. She attended several churches in her years but most recently celebrated with her church family at Heritage Bible Church.

Joyce is survived by her son, Steve Wilson and daughter in law, Jessica Blanchard Wilson, and Granddaughter, Emily Wilson of Emmett ,ID; Grandson Jim Wilson and wife Robyn(Boise),  Her Daughter and son-in-law Bill and Rhonda Sheets and her grandson Dustin Sheets of Caldwell , ID and Her grandson  Joe Sheets,  and his fiance Kierra Green of Nampa, Idaho.   Granddaughter  Nicole Nunez, and  her husband Trevor Nunez, and her great granddaughter  Maddison Nunez of Nampa, ID .  Last but certainly not least, her twin sister and brother in law, Janice and George Isenhart of Pendleton OR .
