Gail Garvey McMahon

March 5, 1942 ~ December 6, 2017 (age 75)

Gail McMahon , age 75, passed away on December 6, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian, Idaho surrounded by her family.

 She was born on March 5, 1942 in Portland, Oregon and raised in Caldwell, Idaho by her parents, Amy and Dan Garvey.

 She graduated from Caldwell High School, attended Lindenwood University, and graduated with a degree in Fashion and Merchandising from Iowa State University.

 While in Iowa, she met and married Paul Ives McMahon on November 23, 1963 in Ames, Iowa. They relocated to Seattle, Washington and then to Caldwell, Idaho where they were blessed with two children, Angela and Patrick.

 Gail and Paul had many adventures together and enjoyed road trips to visit family, friends, or simply to explore.

 Over her lifetime, Gail was involved in many community organizations. These included PEO, the Caldwell Welcome Wagon, catering at the Boise Center, as well as Lenten Luncheons and Altar Guild at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Those who knew Gail well, will remember her enjoyment of card playing and great love of books and coffee.

 She is survived by her beloved husband, children, son in law (Gary Eaves), daughter in law (Sue), and four grandchildren…Tyler, Allison, Owen, and Riley, who are the apple of her eye.

 Gail was devoted to her loved ones, family, and friends. She gave abundantly and blessed us all.

 A celebration of Gail’s life/Open House will be held at Bowman Funeral Parlor on... Thursday December 14, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. 10254 West Carlton Bay Drive, Garden City, Idaho 83714.
