Virginia Hennis was born on 10/30/1927 to Helen Marie Bond Hennis and Hubert Earl Hennis in Gardena California. The family moved to a family farm in 1934. Virginia attend schools and Kuna and graduated from high school in 1946. She attended Lewiston State College and the University of Idaho. She taught in a two room schoolhouse in Joseph Idaho and also at Lakeview Elementary in Nampa, Id. She later attended college at NNC and Western Washington College and earned her master's degree in Art. She taught all the elementary grades plus in high school taught art, business, English, and P.E. in schools in Washington and Kuna High School, Homedale and Melba. After teaching she enjoyed volunteering at the Nampa Senior Center. She also owned and operated a fruit farm near Marsing, Idaho.
Virginia had three brothers and two sisters, Cliff, Frank, Walter, Marie, and Wilma. She is survived by one brother, Walter and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers two sisters, two nieces and three nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Bowman Funeral Parlor located at 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City with a viewing held one hour prior. A committal will be held at the Kuna City Cemetery, located at 1321 W. Boise St., Kuna, Idaho.
