David William Lamb, 60, passed away October 25, 2019 at Life Care Center of Boise after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born on June 7, 1959 to Bob and Meta Lamb. The family lived in the Burley area until 1969 when they moved to Boise. Dave attended Borah High School where he was a member of the football team. After graduation in 1977, Dave worked in the food service industry in Boise, McCall and Seattle. He spent many years working in fishing camps in Alaska.
Dave was a good friend to many. It wasn't unusual for Dave to help out someone less fortunate. During his stay at the care center he would offer his clothes to a resident who might need something. Dave knew no strangers, he easily made friends with the people he met. Dave had a special place in his heart for his good friend Aaron and his family, especially Sunni and Summer.
Dave is survived by his sisters and brothers Diane (Steve) Counter, Lisa (Bryan) Everman, Mike Lamb and Greg Lamb. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Marissa (Mitch) Evans, AJ (Nicole) Counter, Shaina Everman, Zachary Everman, Trevor (Jessica) Everman and Alex Lamb. Also, great nieces and nephews Kellen, Kennedy, Arrow, Ethan, Zoie and Lulu. Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Boise and St Luke's Hospice for the care and compassion given to Dave. Special thank you to Amy and Kathe from St Luke's Hospice for the care and support provided to Dave and his family. Thank you to Dave's friends who came to visit during his illness. Thank you to Randy for taking over the care of Dave's dog, Trap.
Dave's ashes will be scattered, along with his malamute Doc at his favorite fishing spot in Cascade.
