November 16, 1945 ~ February 2, 2018 (age 72)

Delbert (Gene) Boyer was born in Ontario Oregon on November 16th 1945. Gene graduated from Nyssa high school 1964 and joined the Army in 1966. Gene received a purple heart prior to leaving the military in 1969. He moved to Salinas California and worked for Bausch and Lomb. He met Sandy (his wife of 48 years) and they married in Santa Cruz California in 1970.Shortly after they moved to Boise, he started working for Valley Glass.  In 1985 Gene and Sandy became members of Treasure Valley Baptist church and took the Lord as their personal savior. In 1986 Gene retired from Valley Glass to begin his own business-Boyer’s Glass.  In 2015 Gene retired from Boyers glass. He spent the remaining years of his life working on projects and surrounding himself with family. Gene Boyer passed on peacefully while at home, with his family by his side to go be with the Lord Jesus Christ his Savior. Cancer took him quickly, but he will stay alive in memory by his surviving loved ones forever. Survivors include one sister, two brothers, Sandy his devoted wife of 48 years, son David Boyer, daughters Susan Boyer, Stephanie Lake, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren will cherish his memories, smiles, laughs, hugs, kisses, advice and love. He was our Hero and will be missed tremendously.
