Our loving father Charles "Chuck" Shadduck passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 7th, 2018.
Chuck was born on July 23, 1926 in Groton, South Dakota. He was the third child of Charles M. and Elsie M. Shadduck. Chuck was a civil servant for the town of Burley, Idaho serving in many capacities such as a councilman, the City Clerk and was elected as Mayor for four consecutive terms. After his twelfth year as mayor, Chuck accepted the position as City Clerk for Garden City, Idaho and remained there until his retirement. Chuck loved to serve his community and was an avid member of both the VFW and the Elks.
Chuck is survived by 3 daughters: Barbara Matlock of Waldport, Oregon; Gayle Davis of Rupert, Idaho and Doris Robinson-Brocksopp of Boise, Idaho; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 siblings, his first wife, Doris A. Shadduck, his daughter, A. Jean Brady, and two grandsons.
Committal services will be held October 9, 2018 at 11am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery located at 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, Idaho.
