Jane was born Allie Jane Aden O’Banion on March 11, 1944 in Ventura, Calif. To Aden and Irene O’Banion. Jane was the youngest of 3 children. While growing up she enjoyed her pets, family and Church. In 1964 Jane graduated from college with a AA in Business. In 1964 while visiting her sister Nora at Bethany Bible College she met Roy and married him in June of 1965. Two years later the welcomed their first bundle of joy- Shireena Joy while living in Gridley, Calif. While living there she had the pleasure of being a stay at home mom and helping Roy in the church. Then in 1969 Roy and Jane welcomed a bouncing baby boy- Bradley Ray while living and building a new church in Forbes Town. Again she was a stay at home mom and worked at being a Pastors wife. In 1973 Jane went to work for Smith River School Where she worked for many years. She enjoyed working with the ESL students. The next move was to Cresant City where Jane worked as a Librarian in the Jr./Sr. school. Their final move in 1977 where Roy and Jane settled to raise their beautiful children was to Santa Rosa, Calif. Jane went to work for State Farm Insurance where she worked for 26 years. In 1987 Shireena married Wesley King making Jane an instant Grandma to Wesley II and Steven. Jane greatest joy then was becoming a grandma. Then in 1991 Bradley married Kristine Roberts where they welcomed 4 children Christopher, Melissa, Jonathan and Abigail. Again Grandma “J” flourished and loved each of them. In 1995 after raising their children Roy and Jane moved to Bakersfield, Calif. Where Jane continued to work for State Farm while Roy was retired. In Nov. 2006 Roy and Jane retired and moved to Nampa, Id to be close to family. Also in 2006 she became a great grandma to Nicholas and Jacob King from grandson Wesley and Chandra. In 2008 Steven and Jessica King welcomed Ryan. Grandma “J” had the greatest joy of helping care for Ryan. You would never be able to have a conversation without her gushing about her children, grandchildren, and then great grandchildren. Sunday dinners were blessed with her amazing cooking and always a famous cheese cake. You could fine Jane at church every Sunday and volunteering there every chance she has free. Jane had a short battle with breast cancer and passed way on October 25, 2019. Jane is survived by her husband Roy Carpenter, children Shireena and Wes King and Bradley and Kristina Carpenter sisters Naomi Cherry and Nora and Richard Kruse Brother in love and sister in love Ronald and Charlyne Carpenter, Grandchildren, Great- Grandchildren and Her nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019, 2 pm at Christian Faith Center, 31 N. Midland Ave., Nampa, Idaho.
