Rosemary A. Stastny
Rosemary Stastny, 87, died on Monday, March 26, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Hospital. She was born January 8, 1931, to Joseph and Loretta Stastny in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was valedictorian of her class at Cathedral High School, then joined the Poor Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in Colorado, teaching at schools in New Mexico and Nebraska. She moved to Boise in 1969, where she taught mathematics at Capitol High School and Boise State University. Upon retirement from teaching, she was a textbook representative for several years.
Rosemary is survived by her sister Mary Daley of Boise, brothers Fred and Joe of Grand Junction, Colorado, and George of Lincoln, Nebraska, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A very selfless person, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A vigil rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening, April 3, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Boise. The memorial Mass will be at St. Mary’s on Wednesday, April 4, at 11 a.m.
