Kathleen M. Smith
1961 – 2018
While surrounded by her loving wife and family, our sweet precious ‘Kitty’ passed on to her eternal resting place on April 13, 2018 after a long and fierce battle with cancer. A very warm and caring woman, she opened her arms and heart to everyone she met. And all who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
Kathleen Myrle Smith was born on June 2, 1961 in Sacramento, California. Her mother, Rose Marie Belden married William Arthur Narvesen in 1968 when Kitty was seven years old. The family lived in several locations as ‘Bill’ was a Chief Gunners Mate in the US Navy. The family moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1976 where Kitty completed high school and went on to study at BSU.
Kitty loved books and was an avid reader; she always wanted to be a librarian. She was an MVP catcher and played softball for many years and also loved to golf. Her most recent passion was scootering.
Kitty met the love of her life, Kathleen Margaret Navin in 1997. They built a beautiful life together sharing family and friends and running their own businesses. They owned a consulting company and later started their business ‘Scooters of Boise’ in 2004. Kitty and Kathy were married on Aug 15, 2015.
Preceded in death by her parents Rose and Bill and 3 of her seven brothers; Michael Myers, Tom Myers and Billy Smith. She is survived by her dear wife Kathy, who fought side by side with her every step of the way unconditionally, her beloved fur babies, 4 brothers; Daniel Myers, Alfred Myers, Richard Myers, and Walter Myers, several nieces and nephews and her Idaho ‘Mann’ family. We will miss her so much, the positive attitude and the genuine love she had for so many.
Special thanks to all the angels at St. Lukes, 4 South and MSTI for all your wonderful care and kindness! Kitty loved you all.
