Gwen G. Taylor May 24th, 1936 to July 31st 2017, Gwen Taylor went peacefully at Rivers Edge, in Emmett, Id. with family surrounding her. She went to be with the lord and her husband, Roger W. Taylor.
Gwen Taylor was born May 24, 1936 in Kilgore, TX. Her family moved to Modesto, Calif. Where she met Roger Taylor our father. They were married on July 10, 1952 in Modesto California, they were stationed in Florida with Marine Corp , Mom followed Dad back to California where Teresa was born, and then moved to Nevada where Clint and Destry were born.
and built a nice 2 story log house, while living in Nevada they took legal guardian of three teen aged boys Mike, Richard and Sam Nidever, and then they moved to Alaska, where they bought a gold mine and built a log cabin out in the bush with all us kids. After Alaska she moved to Emmett, Idaho. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband Roger, Her Mother Blanch, Her Brother Glen and Her stepfather John. Gwen survived by her family, Yolanda Corbett & Patricia Wood her sisters, daughter Teresa Jones, son Clint Taylor, son Destry Taylor. Her grandkids,Terra, Trena, Taggart, Tanya, Savanna, Salina, Travis, Jacqueline, Shalako, and Talon, Also survived by her great grandchildren, Megan ,Madilin, Maggy ,Liam, Seth, Taylon and one due in September.
Gwen devoted her life to taking care of Roger, her children, Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and their friends. Gwen also worked as a cook in Alaska and Emmett because she loved to cook. Always made big meals and invited the neighbors. There was always plenty for everyone. She loved to crochet, and ceramics, and various other crafts. She was a full time senior citizen attender; she loved having lunch with her friends, Especially John McItire her best friend. Gwen considered everyone family and welcome in her home.
The family would like to Thank Rivers Edge for all they did for our mother, And a big Thank-you to Heart and Home Hospice for all the loving care.
A memorial will be held at grave site on Aug. 12, 2017, 10:00 AM at the Emmett Cemetery, Followed by a gathering for friends and family and the First Baptist church 126 south Hayes in Emmett.
