Dale K. Evans
Dale K Evans of Boise, Idaho passed away on Saturday March 3, 2018 to be with his family and friends in heaven at the age of 82 years.
Dale was born in Boise, Idaho on September 10, 1935 to John Clifford Evans Sr. and Lucy Columbia (Loveland) Evans. Dale's father passed when he was 12 yrs. old, leaving him with a mother and sister which he took responsibility, from which his hard work ethic was born. Dale spent his early adult years in the army as an Airborne Ranger and a company clerk for his Sr. officers. During this time, he married Dorothy "Pat" Morton and had 2 daughters Teri (Evans) Tankard and Jana Evans, Ray Evans (stepson).
Dale returned to Boise after his time in the Army and pursued his passion of carpentry (framing). He also worked doing drywall with his brother Marvin. During this time, he met Dora Lee Pigg and his sons were born, Brent Evans, Steve Evans, John Evans and adopted son Leo "Herby" Evans.
Dale spent his whole life being an example to many instilling the value of hard work and integrity. He also loved to play, hunt, and fish. He loved water skiing, river boating, and car racing. In short, he worked hard and played harder. He was also a family man. He never missed a birthday party or special event. He loved building and spending time at his cabins in Wapiti Creek and Fisher Creek. In his most recent years his passion was ballroom dancing from which he made many friends and met his wife Claudia T. Nelson Evans. He spent many nights dancing and showed his granddaughters how to dance also.
Dale was preceded in death by his son Leo and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survived by his sister Vivian (Evans) Buller.
He was loved by his many nephews, and nieces.
Dale has 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
We will be sharing memories and celebrating Dale’s life with friends and family Saturday March 10th starting at 1:00 pm at 9107 McMillan Rd Nampa, ID (The Barn). Cremation is under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
